Bearden, Romare

Romeare Bearden was an African American Artist born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1911. He grew up in New York City and graduated from New York University in 1935. He is well known for his prints, oils and collages. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts.
