Born in Paris in 1953, Schkolnyk is regarded as one of the Masters of the Mezzotint. His velvety rich prints are without equal. Schkolynk attended the Baeux Arts School in Nantes, France where he concentrated on drawing and etching. In 1971 he began learning the mezzotint under Professor Guiemanes.
